Robin Augustine is a researcher in Bioengineering enthusiastic to explore new possibilities in tissue engineering and biomaterials research in order to improve today's critical issues in healthcare. He has completed Ph.D. from the International and Inter University Centre for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, Mahatma Gandhi University (India) under the joint supervision of Profs. Sabu Thomas and Nandakumar Kalarikkal. His Ph.D project focused on the fabrication and characterization of electrospun polymeric wound coverage materials with antibacterial, angiogenic and wound healing properties. He gained postdoctoral research experience from Qatar University, Doha (2017-2019), National Institute of Technology Calicut, India (2016-2017) and Technion Israel Institute of Technology, Haifa (2014-2016). He also worked in Institute Jean Lamour, Nancy, France (2014) and Biopole (2016), Nancy France as invited scientist. He received a bachelor’s degree in botany from the University of Calicut, Kerala, India and a Master’s degree in Bioengineering from Madurai Kamaraj University, Tamilnadu, India.
He is experienced in developing smart biomaterials such as wound dressings, tissue engineering scaffolds, and suture materials. He has many publications in international journals, books and conference proceedings in his credit.
